<abstract>In 2014, on behalf of the NC Center for Geographic Information and Analysis five contractors captured 6in pixel 3 band true color ortho imagery for the 24 counties centered on the Northern Piedmont &amp; Mountains Region in NC. This file documents the mosaic of imagery exposures and associated seamlines used to generate the collection of imagery for study areas 1 through 5 and the dates that each of these lines/exposures were flown. Where necessary additional polygons were merged into this final Shapefile from the other vendor's adjacent study areas.</abstract>
<purpose>This seamline dataset was created to identify the individual line/exposure frames and the seamlines that join these lines/exposures together to generate this study area's orthoimagery product for the Northern Piedmont and Mountains 2014 Orthoimagery Project. This dataset derives information from the ortho flightlines to provide the specific dates of imagery acquisition for each line or exposure frame.</purpose>
<supplinf>The bounding coordinates in this metadata file represent the bounding coordinates for all image tiles in the project area as a whole, not an individual tile.</supplinf>
