Description: In 2012, on behalf of the NC Center for Geographic Information and Analysis, four contractors captured 6in pixel 3 band true color ortho imagery for the 25 Eastern most counties in NC. This file documents the mosaic of imagery exposures and associated seamlines used to generate the collection of imagery and the dates that each of these exposures were flown. No automatic seamline generation processes were used. Seamlines were manually digitized in logical locations, considering the date of acquisition, conditions of radial displacement and the relationships between consecutive images within the same flight line and overlapping images in adjacent flight lines. Seamline digitizing was accomplished by inspecting each orthorectified image in its true geographic location and relationship to adjacent orthorectified images.

This file documents the mosaic of imagery exposures and associated seamlines used to generate the collection of imagery for study areas 1 through 5 and the dates that each of these lines/exposures were flown. Where necessary additional polygons were merged into this final Shapefile from the other vendor's adjacent study areas.

This file documents the mosaic of imagery exposures and associated seamlines used to generate the countywide collection of imagery for Macon, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, and Swain Counties NC and the dates that each of these exposures were flown. The final seamline polygons were exported from Sanborn's ESRI ArcMap software. Where necessary additional polygons were merged into this final Shapefile from other vendors working in adjacent study area. Upon definition of final seamline polygons, the shapefile polygons were populated for each field defined in the scope, including: vendor ID, strip number, exposure number & date flown.

Description: This service depicts true color imagery for the 26 counties representing the Eastern Piedmont region of North Carolina. This includes the following counties: Bladen, Chatham, Cumberland, Durham, Edgecombe, Franklin, ,Granville, Halifax, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Lee, Moore, Nash, Northampton, Orange, Person, Richmond, Robeson, Sampson, Scotland, Vance, Wake, Warren, Wayne, and Wilson. The imagery has a pixel resolution of 6 inches and was flown in the beginning of 2017. Individual pixel values may have been altered during image processing. Therefore, this service should be used for general reference and viewing. Image analysis requiring examination of individual pixel values is discouraged.

Description: In 2021, on behalf of the North Carolina Center for Geographic Information and Analysis four contractors captured 6-inch pixel 4-band (RGB-IR) orthoimagery for the 26 Eastern Piedmont counties in North Carolina. These contractors are Spatial Data Consultants, Inc., Sanborn Map Company, Atlas Geographic Data, and Surdex Corporation. This file documents the mosaic of the imagery exposures and associated seamlines used to generate the collection of imagery by the contractors for the entire study area of North Carolina for the following counties , Bladen, Chatham, Cumberland, Durham, Edgecombe, Franklin, Granville, Halifax, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Lee, Moore, Nash, Northampton, Orange, Person, Richmond, Robeson, Sampson, Scotland, Vance, Wake, Warren, Wayne, Wilson; and the date each exposure was flown. Seamlines were converted to polygon shapefile format, checked for gaps and overlaps, attributed, and trimmed to the study area boundary. This dataset contains a polygon seamline index attributed with, Exposure date the season. These attributes were based on information collected from individual frames and from flight line datasets. This seamline dataset was created to identify the individual exposure frames and the seamlines that join these exposures together to generate the orthoimagery product for the Eastern Piedmont Orthoimagery 2021 Project (EP21). The purpose of this dataset derives information from the exploitation flight lines to provide the specific dates of imagery acquisition for each image frame.
