Service Description:

This dataset contains lidar change-detection information for 27 Western North Carolina Counties. This data supports the North Carolina Geological Survey's (NCGS) independent review of potential landslides and other ground-surface changes. It is based on lidar data published by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety for the years 2016, 2017, and 2025. Two raster function templates are included to perform the necessary preprocessing. NCGS_LCD_classifier provides a pre-rendered, cartographic version of the data whlle NCGS_LCD supports analyses and allows users to view actual gain/loss values for impacted areas.
